Why use improv to teach educational goals & soft skills?

You can think of play (Improv) as the speedway to learning.  It’s been proven that we learn faster by doing rather than by just listening. Improv offers a unique opportunity where participants are able to mirror reality by acting out real life situations.  Whether we are working with Middle & High School students or Business Professionals everyone agrees all learning should be fun! Play offers a very valuable way to deliver everyday critical life skills built in to the rules and principals on Improv. We strongly believe people often find their power potential & purpose through play.

Is improv therapeutic?

Yep! Recent studies have actually shown this to be true as well as the many mental health benefits of applying the principals of Improv into your whole life. The cardinal principal/rule of Improv is Yes, AND which says you work in agreement. It is this very rule that can often be freeing and healing for many inside an Improv class. Imagine feeling accepted for the very first time? That very feeling can impact your whole life in a positive direction to increase confidence, self-esteem, and the ability to communicate more effectively. Our workshops are created to help you feel safe and supported while you learn.
